I am a software engineer with significant SRE/DevOps experience. I like to help people create maintainable, resilient, scalable systems.

My SRE experience comes from many years at Google and steady stream of client projects since 2019. Confidentiality usually prevents me from publishing work samples. However, if you browse my github repositories and my codeberg repository or my blog, you can see some work I have done by myself.

Programming Languages

• Python: over 10 years of experience
• Golang: regularly used since 2018
• C++: over 10 years of experience
• Other languages as needed: have used Java, JavaScript, Scala, among others
• I can (and occasionally do) program in Bash, though I prefer to use it for small tasks

Technologies

• Kubernetes: used regularly since 2019; have brought up clusters in a variety of contexts from managed to baremetal. I have also written controllers and a scheduler plugin.
• Monitoring: I have set up, configued, and troubleshot Prometheus for several clients, including writing and debugging PromQL.
• CI/CD: Gitlab runners, Jenkins, and various homegrown systems
• Automation tools: Mainly Ansible and Terraform
• Other tools: Docker, Bazel, Git
